News:
- India signed a 10-year deal with Iran for operation of Iran's Chabahar Port.
- India's imports from FTA (Free Trade Agreement) countries rose by 38% to $187.92 billion during 2019-2024: Global Trade Research Initiative data.
- Retail inflation in India fell marginally to 48.3% and food inflation rose to 8.70% in April: MoSPI
Stock Updates:
- UPL: reported a net profit increase of 95% to Rs. 40 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter. Declared a dividend of Re. 1 per share.
- Hero Moto: became the first automobile company to join the ONDC network.
- Zomato: reported a net profit increase to Rs. 175 crores (from a loss of Rs. 188 crore in the previous year) for the Jan-Mar quarter. Gross order value rose to Rs. 4,027 crore from Rs. 2,046 crore in the same period last year.
- Tube Investments: reported a net profit increase of 49.82% to Rs. 189.53 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter. Declared a dividend of Rs. 1.50 per share.
- Varun Beverages: reported a net profit increase of 25% to Rs. 548 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter. Total sales grew by 7.2% year-to-year in the Jan-March quarter.
- Bank of India: recorded a rise in the net profit by 7% year-on-year to Rs. 1,439 crores in the Jan-Mar Quarter. Net Interest income (NII) rose to Rs. 5,937 crore (from Rs. 5,523 crore a year ago).
- Airtel: partnered with Google Cloud to provide cloud solutions to its customers.
- Biocon: signed a deal with a Mexican pharma company, Medix to commercialize its chronic weight management drug.
- KPI Green Energy: the board approved raising Rs. 1,000 crore through QIP (Qualitative Institutional Placement).

- Indegene IPO listed at a 40% premium.
