News:
- India's wholesale inflation (WPI) stood at 1.26% in April (highest in 13 months): Ministry of Commerce & industry data.
- Domestic passenger vehicle sales rose by 1.3% year-on-year to 3.36 lakh units in April: SIAM.
Stock Updates:
- Airtel: reported a net profit fell 31.10% to Rs. 2,072 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter. Declared a dividend of Re. 8 per share. ARPU increased to Rs. 209 (from Rs 193 in the previous year).
- Shriram Finance: the board approved the sale of its 100% stake in Shriram Housing Finance Ltd to Warburg Pincus for Rs. 4,630 crore.
- Bharti Hexacom: reported a net profit increase by 10.20% year-on-year to Rs. 223 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter. Declared a dividend of Re. 4 per share. ARPU increased to Rs. 204 (from Rs 189 in the previous year).
- Siemens India: reported a net profit increase of 70% to Rs. 803 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter. It will invest Rs. 519 crore to increase capacity of its switchgear factory in Goa and Metro train factory in Aurangabad.
- BSAF: reported a net profit increase of 96% to Rs. 161.51 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter. Declared dividend of Rs. 15 per share.
- Apar Industries: recorded a fall in the net profit by 3% year-on-year to Rs. 236 crores in the Jan-Mar Quarter. Dividend of Rs. 51 per share. It showed a 14% volume growth in volume in the conductor segment.
- RVNL: got a Rs 239 crores order from Southern Railways for Automotic block signalling system in Salem Divison.
- HDFC Bank: launched its first digital credit card series 'PIXEL'. It will come 2 variants, Pixel Play and Pixel Go, as per customer requirements.
- Cochin Shipyard: got a large order from a European firm for the supply of vessels.
IPOs News:
- Aadhar Housing Finance IPO and TBO Tek IPO to list tomorrow.
- Go Digit Insurance IPO will open on 15 May.
