News:
- India's trade deficit rose to $19.10 billion in April ($14.44 billion in the previous year). Imports rose by 1.10% year-on-year in April: Ministry of Commerce.
- The share of coal dropped below 50% (first time since 1966) in the country's total power generation capacity in the Jan-March: IEEFA report.

- Dixon Tech: reported a net profit increase of 20.60% to Rs. 97.30 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter. Declared a dividend of Rs. 5 per share.
- IIFL Finance: raised Rs 1,271 crore through a rights issue.
- Power Finance: reported a net profit increase of 18.40% to Rs. 4,135 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter. Declared a dividend of Rs. 2.50 per share. Net NPA (non-performing assets) fell to 0.85% from 0.90% in the previous quarter.
- Berger Paints: reported a net profit increase of 19.50% to Rs. 222.60 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter. Declared dividend of Rs. 3.50 per share.
- Jindal Stainless: recorded a fall in the net profit by 30% year-on-year to Rs. 501 crores in the Jan-Mar Quarter. Dividend of Rs. 2 per share.
- Cipla: promoters sold 2.04 crore shares (2.53% stake) in a block deal.
- Colgate-Palmolive: recorded a fall in the net profit by 20% year-on-year to Rs. 379.80 crores in the Jan-Mar Quarter. Dividend of Rs. 10 per share.
- Oberoi Realty: recorded an increase in the net profit by 64.10% year-on-year to Rs. 788 crores in the Jan-Mar Quarter. Dividend of Rs. 2 per share.
- Honeywell Automation: recorded an increase in the net profit by 32.30% year-on-year to Rs. 148.20 crores in the Jan-Mar Quarter. Dividend of Rs. 100 per share.
IPOs News:
- Aadhar Housing Finance is listed at a 4.59% premium and TBO Tek is listed at a 52.05% premium.
- Go Digit Insurance IPO opened today, with 1.44 subscribed in the retail portion.
