News:
- India's Forex reserves rose by $4.54 billion in the previous week to an all-time high of $648.70 billion as of 17 May: RBI.
- India's coffee exports rose 12.22% year-on-year to $1.28 billion in 2023-24. India is the 3rd largest coffee exporter among Asian countries: Commerce Ministry.
Stock Updates:
- Ashok Leyland: reported a net profit increase of 16.73% to Rs. 933.69 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter.
- TVS Motors: Jaguar Land Rover will soon assemble its Range Rover models in Pune (first time in India). Currently, Range Rover models are only assembled in the UK.
- Hindalco: reported a net profit increase of 31.64% to Rs. 3,174 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter. Dividend: Rs. 3.50 per share.
- Mannapuram Finance: reported a net profit increase of 35.68% to Rs. 563.49 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter. Dividend: Rs. 1 per share. Net interest income rose 32% year-on-year to Rs. 1,494 crores in this quarter.
- Bayer CropScience: recorded a fall in the net profit by 39.43% year-on-year to Rs. 96 crores in the Jan-Mar Quarter. Dividend of Rs. 35 per share.
- Brigade Enterprises: got a Rs. 720 crore residential project order in Bengaluru.
- Bosch: recorded an increase in the net profit by 41.49% year-on-year to Rs. 564.40 crores in the Jan-Mar Quarter. Dividend of Rs. 170 per share.
- Adani Ports: will replace Wipro on the Sensex 30 list from 24 June. It is the first Adani Group company to be a part of Sensex 30.
- Cochin Shipyard: recorded an increase in the net profit by 558.22% year-on-year to Rs. 258.88 crores in the Jan-Mar Quarter. Dividend of Rs. 2.25 per share.
- Torrent Pharma: recorded an increase in the net profit by 56.44% year-on-year to Rs. 449 crores in the Jan-Mar Quarter. Dividend of Rs. 6 per share.
