News:

• RBI imposed penalties on Yes Bank (Rs. 91 lakh) and ICICI Bank (Rs. 1 Crore) for compliance issues.

Stock Updates:

• LIC: The company reported a net profit increase of 2.5% to Rs. 13,762 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter. Gross NPAs fell to 2.01% this quarter from 2.56% in the same quarter the previous year.
• Adani Energy: The company will raise Rs 12,500 crores via a QIP (Qualified Institutional Placement) or other ways in multiple rounds.
• HUDCO: reported a net profit increase of 9.54% to Rs. 700.16 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter. Dividend: Rs. 2.65 per share. Net sales were up 11.49% to Rs. 2,065.22 crores compared to the same quarter last year.
• NTPC: reported a net profit increase of 33.22% to Rs. 6,490 crores for the Jan-Mar quarter. Dividend: Rs. 3.25 per share.
• Natco Pharma: recorded an increase in the net profit by 40% year-on-year to Rs. 386.30 crores in the Jan-Mar Quarter.
• HCL Tech: the company partnered with UK-based technology company Arm, to develop custom silicon chips to handle AI Workload.
• Affle (India): recorded an increase in the net profit by 40.23% year-on-year to Rs. 87.49 crores in the Jan-Mar Quarter.
• Cochin Shipyard: the company got the order to build hybrid vessels for the UK-based company North Star Shipping.
• HPCL: fixed the record date as 21 June for its 1:2 bonus issue of shares.
• Sun TV: recorded an increase in the net profit by 9% year-on-year to Rs. 414.94 crores in the Jan-Mar Quarter.
• Glenmark Pharma: recorded a fall in the net profit at Rs. 1,214.26 crores in the Jan-Mar Quarter.
