The medicine cocktail that saved Previous US PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP from COVID-19 is here in India.
The drug major ROCHE INDIA & CIPLA on Monday launched its first dose of Antibody Cocktail for Rs.59,750 / dose. The Roche’s cocktail was given to Donald Trump when he contacted the disease in October last year.

“The first batch of Cocktail (Casirivimab and Indevimab) is now
available in India while the second batch will be made available by
Mid-June. In total they can benefit about 2,00,000 patients as each one of
them the 1,00,000 packs that are available in India treat 2 patients,” Cipla
And Roche said in a joint statement.
The price for each patient dose ( consisting of 600 mg of Casirivimab and 600 mg of Indevimab) a total of 1200 mg, which will be Rs.59,750 for each dose inclusive of taxes. And the MRP is Rs.1,19,500 for the pack (two patient doses). The prices are inclusive of taxes.
As per the statement, The drug would be available through the leading hospitals and Covid Care Centres nationwide.
The drug has shown to work well against high-risk patients before the condition worsens; reducing the risk of hospitalization and fatality rate by 70 percent or the hospitalization time by up to 4 days.
Who can take the Antibody Cocktail?
The antibody cocktail is administered for the treatment of mild to moderate COVID-19 patients, they can adults or pediatric patients (12 years of age or above, weighing at least 40 Kgs) and who are at high risk of developing severe CORONAVIRUS infection and don't get Oxygen.
How to store the Cocktail?
The vials can be stored between 2 Degree Celsius to 8 Degree Celsius. If opened for the first dose, a vial can be stored for the second patient's dose, if correctly stored between 2 Degree Celsius to 8 Degree Celsius.
