Kanpur, a city of Uttar Pradesh has reported its very first cases of Black Fungus.
17 cases has been reported and are admitted in Hallet Hospital.
COVID-19 associated mucormycosis, commonly referred to as black fungus, is the association of mucormycosis with COVID-19. It has been reported around the nose, eyes and brain - a clinical manifestation sometimes referred to as ‘rhino-orbital-cerebral mucormycosis’.
Senior Doctors of Delhi on May 21 said that black fungus can be treated if diagnosed early and it’s a rare infection found in COVID-19 patients.
